Quit Smoking = Eat too much ..
I made my quit day last Friday - I have joined the no smoking clinic at my local doctors surgery and have been given patches.
When you join you are not given patches but told to go away and write down when you smoke so you can look at the list and then remove certain cigarettes to help start cutting down. On your next appointment you are told to pick a quit date and you are given your prescription for what ever form of nicotine replacement you choose.
I choose the patches because I had used them before and had found them good .. However at that attempt my partner didn't quit so it was very easy to fall and have a cigarette.
So last Friday I decided to go out for the whole day .. I got up and bathed put my patch on and went out .. I did fine it was only when I got home that I really started thinking about smoking.
The patches are 24 hour ones but I have been having problems sleeping so I have been taking them off during the night .. When I get up I like to do some work and wake up a bit before I go for a bath .. So the first few hours I am up I have no patch on and all I seem to think about is smoking .. Once I have had a bath and put my patch on it settles down alot ..
My next problem is thinking about food .. My appetite has gone nuts, along with the fact that my taste buds seem to of changed everything tastes like it has never before ..
I went to Prague at the end of last year and had 3 of the best meals I have ever had .. One was Pigs Knee (Veprove koleno) we went to a restaurant called U Čejpů the guy's I went to visit lived in Prague so they knew where to go for the best Pigs Knee .. Also another Czech speciality is dumplings - I fricking love dumplings but in the place my mate took me to they were even nicer than I had ever had in the UK. They were more like thick slices of bread very light and fluffy. If you ever find yourself in Prague then you really must go to U Cejpu and have Veprove Koleno!
