Halloween

YaY the joys of halloween .. in roughly 20 mins all the little bastards from around here will be knocking on my door asking trick or treat, thats the same little wonders who will tell you to f' off when you ask them to get off your car ..

I had 2 options .. ignore the door all night or go down the shop and buy a load of sweets .. I went for the sweets .. although in reflection I should of just bought 2 packets of cigarettes and offered them out instead ..

Although I am quite tempted to go the whole trick route and see what thier imaginations can come up with .. I guess they don't expect people to do that when they knock on your door begging for sweets ..

Or I could confuse them further on opening the door ask them trick or treat and rummage through thier carrier bag helping myself to thier sweets ..

Halloween... You're right. It's a pure excuse for children to learn the art of deception.

I, for one, encountered a classic example on my humble London estate tonight. The devil knocked on my door, his face shielded with the bright red cloak he had 'borrowed' from his friend the "gangster zombie" as he proudly introduced himself as. Whilst performing Halloween rituals such as code for Give me sweets... and all your money, The Devil admitted he'd knocked on my door previously. With his honesty I told him he was good for being honest, and therefore gave him a sweet and and orange and the scary little blitters ran away. Happy.

Obviously uncontented with the oranges the rumour has hit the estate that my house gives out fruit.. No-one has knocked since.
